We had a thread like this recently and it was good, but too short.
I'll start with something I asked before:
Uncanny Valley, but the other way around. I mean, not really innanimate objects that look too human, but rather humans that don't look alive and /or lacking humanity in their behaviour and appeareance. It can be due to trauma or a mental problem, but it scares the shit out of me.

Every day is an opportunity. What do you REALLY want in life? What would make you happy? What steps would you need to do to achieve this?

Figure it out and do Step One on your very next day off.

That's the thing. I don't know what I want. I don't know what I want to do with my life, or what I want as a career. I have no hobbies, and no motivation to pick up a new hobby.

Mine is way too easy.

I was 4-5 and watched Jaws, alone, at night.

I used to have a phobia of swimming in any body of water that I couldn't see through including pools at night that didn't have a pool light.

Then about 10 years ago I went snorkeling in Cabo San Lucus; it was pretty scary at first but I swam pretty far out to where the water started getting too dark to see though.

>Losing sense of self

No one ever really knows anyone else and chances are those people have no idea who they truly are are you fear is unnecessary/moot.

If you have an hour, stop doing whatever it is you waste your life doing and stop and think.

Ask yourself:

"Am I a good person? If so, is it because I choose to to be to because society tells me I need to be to stay out of trouble? If not, are you okay with that? If so, then keep on tucking."

I did this and my conscious, subconscious, Ego, Super Ego and Id all came to a unanimous decision that I wasn't a good person by any means but I also wasn't a bad person per say.

I don't intentionally hurt people unless they cross me or are asking for it, realize no one gives a fuck about my life/opinions/ideas/feelings except for me and even I don't take them 100% serious. And that living a laid back, stress free, fun life was the best possible way to run out the clock on this pointless existence we call life. But we did all agree that being white was fucking awesome but you can't trust other white people or anyone for that matter.

That was it, took about 20 minutes to figure out who I was, accept it, realize what I wanted out of life and still had 40 minutes to kill.

You worry too much, senpai.

I have a thing about injury to my junk. When I was in middleschool, a bully held me down while another repeatedly kicked me in the testicles. I had to go to the hospital and have surgery, but I fortunately didn't lose them. I do have to take testosterone injections for the rest of my life, though.

The trauma from that still affects me to this day. Whenever I see someone taking an injury like that, I cringe and have to look away. I have to skip the torture scene in Casino Royale every time I watch it.

Also have a fear of severe penile injury or castration as part of that, also I guess because I value sex so highly even though I hardly ever have it.

>home invasion

>dying alone
>feminism
>the economy crashing and the dollar losing its value
>family members dying too young

Yeah, I saw the Yahtzee review. I had seen a brief gameplay clip before, but couldn't tell if the scythe was just severing the leg or landing square in the junk.

I have a great fear of infinity (apeirophobia).
Which is basically fear of any kind of afterlife, or the perceived prolongation of time.
When I become conscious of time counting down, like when I'm waiting for something to happen, or for something to end, I get really panicky because time seems to stretch and I feel like it might last forever. Its a bizarre feeling that reminds me of a fever dream.
Like half the unpleasantness of being nauseous or in pain is this scary sensation that its permanent and will never go away.

But also the idea of any kind of afterlife or consciousness after death is the most terrifying.
Probably because I'm a depressed and miserable person and the idea that it will all end when I die is one of my only comforts.
The cruelest thing I can think of is having to suffer with being awake and aware for the rest of eternity.
I'm also claustrophobic and that sort of ties in with it as well as something that is inevitable and feels constraining or like I'm trapped in a situation.

Along that note, Outlast Whistleblower has that to an extreme degree at one point. And it just so happens to be better than both 1 and 2.

The Saw game has you shove your hand into a toilet bowl of syringes for a key multiple times. The tension of saving others from horrible death traps might work too.

I'm afraid of feeling nothing for the rest of my life. Just constant monotony and unfulfilling work until I die alone. It's been harder to care about finding love too since I'm uncomfortable with people getting too close to me.

I'm afraid of forgetting things and not knowing that I've forgotten them or knowing that I've forgotten something with no way to remember it.
Like fucking youtube deleting videos in my favorites with no way to tell what they were.

Because I have such a weak ego I rely on my possessions and surrounding to reinforce and define myself. And to lose those things is to lose a part of my identity.
Like even having my desktop icons moved around on my is enough to evoke of weird feeling of loss, but I dont know what it is I lost.
I cant remember

Seems to be a theme for that developer. To be fair, it is a great way to get under a man's skin. I kind of agreed with Yahtzee's complaint about them using it right at the beginning of the game in Outlast 2. I mean, how do you get a more extreme and unnerving death than that? They should have saved it for later.

Extreme claustrophobia.
Sometimes I have these fantasies about what I think a personalized hell would be like for me.
And the idea is being trapped in a tiny cube shaped room, like less than a 1x1 meters, with my head hunched over between my knees. And surrounded on all sides by infinitely thick and wide solid rock or concrete.
The room is only slightly illuminated, and I have to spend an eternity in it. I can still feel pain but I cant starve or die obviously.
But also the room is slowly shrinking, but like REALLY slowly, a few millimeters a millennium or so. And it will continue to shrink and slowly, imperceptibly crush me forever

The only thing I'm afraid of is ants.

You know how in other open world games like Skyrim, GTA, Witcher, RDR, etc after you beat the main quest you fuck around with every little thing until you get bored? That's BOTW from the start. After the tutorial it's pretty much you looking for any little scrap to construct your own fun. DESU, it is fun when you look for the most unconventional methods to solve problems; but when you can't/won't be creative, it becomes obvious this was rushed for the Switch.

7/10. Thank God I played my friend's copy and didn't spend $350+ for a new console and above average game

I'm scared of things that grow and multiply and take a foothold out of sight until they become massive and suddenly burst out.
Like mold or fungus or some kind of insect infestation.
Im scared that one day a patch of wallpaper will fall off and a thousand bugs will pour out because they have been multiplying inside the walls over the course of years and eating away at the foundation of the house
or like the horrible realization when you open a container and its just full of muck and mold and maggots

I'm afraid of ending up like Johnny from "Johnny Got His Gun." The song "One" by Metallica is based on it.

It's about a WWI soldier who gets hit by a mortar shell and barely survives, but loses his limbs, eyes, hearing, and part of his jawbone, making it impossible for him to speak. His mind is still sharp, but he's trapped inside his own body. All he can do is fantasize about being free, and think back to earlier days.

I think I would literally go insane within hours(if not less) if I were placed in any kind of space where I didn't have full range of motion. As in, being able to fully extend, stand, crouch, etc. It's weird because I barely move that much normally and the thought of simply being restrained doesn't bother me nearly as much. I guess it's the idea that you can sort of move, but not really.

If we're including the existential dread of being in our twenties, I'm afraid that by the time I am where I want to be in life (on my own with no family to tie me down, good job, doing whatever I want within legal and economic bounds) that I'll be too old to enjoy it. It really isn't fucking right how for most of our first 20 years of living that we don't even understand the choices that we've been given.
