I miss DOA4. Something about 5 always felt off to me. The speed was toned down a bit, and it feels less fluid.

DOA4 also had the best lobby system ever invented

Anyone who's been exposed to more technical, more dynamic fighting games will quickly pass on DOA. Other more fun fighters, fighters that take actual care of thier fans, namely Tekken has advanced impressively in their latest installments; but the relic that is DOA just can't seem to evolve. if you want something a little more "safe and Paid DLC-friendly," DOA might be your cup of tea.... I'm a VF player, and I agree with him. Tekken is actually a unique fighting game. DOA is a shitty VF ripoff with a fucking counter button for noobs who can't seem to press 4A+B for some fucking reason. All the T&A in the world won't change that DOA's basic systems are jank, because they fucked with the VF system, which was already perfect.

DOA5 came out on PC like 5 years after the console version, and didn't even have online play, and the game was completely broken. Not fair to compare it to those other games.

DOA5 was popular and highly played on PSN.

I think I actually prefer DoA to Tekken. I'm not super big into 3D fighting games, but from what I've tried of Tekken, I can't seem to get into it much, but I enjoyed what little I played of DoA5, even though I sucked at it.

I also like DoA's roster more. Looking from afar, I always thought DoA's characters were boring, but after getting into it, I generally prefer its characters more than Tekken. Although Tekken has the better minority characters by far and away.

Watered down VF is still better than Tekken. Tekken is unique, sure. Uniquely terrible. The series was passable around the time of Tekken 3 because it looked great and was a big step up over Tekken 2, but the genre has evolved since then and Tekken can't keep up.
