Why were people mad about this game?

Shit games come out all the time. But I remember people being double salty about this one

I don't know. Most didn't like the Hotwire game mode, but there was still traditional Conquest.
Heist and Blood Money were great game modes.
Some maps really needed player count limits.
I got way more fun out of this game than BF1.
Everyone just seemed to jump on the hate bandwagon, or didn't like the fact that you couldn't camp in a tank, stare blankly into a 40X scope from the back of the map, or sit there and absorb 15 shots from an LMG before going down.

Everything about it felt off; the maps, modes, weapons, gunplay, gadgets and vehicles, everything. Not just that, but it felt like it could have just been content that was added to BF4, instead it was a mod pack at full price.

After the beta I thought "Why would I get this when BF4 is superior in every way?".

I had fun with it but def wasn't worth 60. Also weps felt a bit cheap/weak but the maps were good/excellent.
