There was a Eureka 7 game?

Watch this Eureka 7 video and tell me what you think? No Homo. Thanks.

There were a few I'm aware of for the PS2 and PSP,. Eureka 7 characters also appear in some SRW games

There was, but I don't remember much about it.

>>379172747
Not really. At best you could pick up the SRW games that have Eureka 7 in it, like most other giant robot shows.
>>
>>379172747
The PS2 games were decent from a story perspective, but the gameplay was pretty bad.
>>
No, and it's a shame they never made a good anime either.
>>
Eureka 7 is one of the few animes that made me shed tears

Same but the sequel; AO, because it was so bad
>>
>>379173650
They made a sequel to Eureka 7?
>>
>>379173778
You gotta look beyond Toonami to learn that there's lots of anime out there anon.

No, we act like it doesn't exist. It's that bad
>>
>>379173778
They made a movie, and then a tv series sequel and there's going to be a trilogy of movies that retell the original series. Feel free to ignore all of it.
>>
>Bones released the final episode of AO as a pachinko tie in.

AO is still bad, but at least they ended on a happier note than the original ending.
>>
>>379174359
Xam'd was shit too, what a letdown after Eureka
>>
>>379174719
yeah but the worst i can say about xam'd was it's very forgetable and inoffensively shit, it didn't leave a bad taste in my mouth like AO did. at least xam'd had decent to good OP/EDs
>>
Anime is shit

But I let this one slide...
>>
There was a Source mod in the works, "Lift".
It was never finished of course but there's a playable alpha/beta somewhere with multiplayer.
>>
>>379173778
At least they fixed the ending

This was the weirdest goddamn show to discover by accident.

The way they pronounce Eureka is fucking retarded

Eureka 7 was a bad anime, with unlikable characters. If it wasn't for the promise of style(which they rarely deliver one), then it would never be relevant. It's trash.

Was there ever a good standalone Eureka 7 anime?

Was there ever a good standalone Eureka 7 anything ever?

Fuck no. It's what we in the Inner Circle call, a pile of fucking gaybage.

Characters were pretty good, for the most part, they just shat the bed towards the end. And some characters like Anemone were legitimately retarded.
>loves(?) the big evil dude even though all he does is pretty much torture her
>treats the only person who loves her like shit
>but no wait, she loves him now? and is killing the evil dude?
the dumbest fucking shit

PS2 dilogy was pretty alright.

Also the original anime was the best anime to ever exist and if you disagree your taste is shit. SHIIIT.

The movie and AO don't exist.

The upcoming remake can rot in hell.

How typical of /a/ to refer to themselves as that
>>

Were you not paying attention at all? She pretended to love Dewey because she knew she was a test subject and didn't want to get killed or discarded. She treats Dominic like shit because she's naturally wary of people, because as you said, she spent her whole life being tortured and experimented on. Why would she just trust and bang one of Dewey's subordinates just because he's not mean to her?
>>
>>379179546
>Dewey because she knew she was a test subject
The fucking first thing he does, figuratively, is hand her a gun and say "go kill those people".
She should have just said no and shot him in the fucking face, which inevitably, is what she ends up doing in the finale anyway, betraying dewey to join with her love interest dude w/e his name is and the rest of the characters.

There was no fucking justification for going along with him up till that point, the experiments and drugs were harming her body, as we see many subjects die, as soon as they put her in that giant fucking robot of death she should have defected instantly, there was no logical reason not to.
>>
>>379173917
I haven't watched anime since I graduated from high school. That was back in 09

>Kill your sole source of it then escape despite having little knowledge of the outside world, no one to rely on, no means to defend yourself from the inevitable retribution, and while operating under the assumption that no one can love or accept you because you're a monster

Fucking brilliant idea anon. I'm sure that is exactly what a person in that situation would do and there was no justification for her actions. She should have just escaped in the robot that she is deathly afraid to pilot when not drugged to high heaven.
>>
>>379172747

Considering Bandai Namco would retain all the rights to producing one I doubt it. Their license games are always phoned in crap.
>>
>>379181020
Pretty sure the drugs they were giving her in the first place were what was fucking her, if not then what the hell happens at the end when she betrays him? she just dies anyway? Kind of invalidates her whole character's development if they never actually solved that problem.
>>
>>379181493
I seriously doubt that the side effects would kill her. They probably just dealt with it off screen afterward. She was fine hanging out with Dominic in the epilogue.
>>
>>379182163
Because she stopped taking the drugs, I don't think it was ever explained exactly what they were for - whether she needed it to pilot the mech or it was something for her mental state. But it is strongly implied that it is killing her, since Dominique always tries to limit it and says it's dangerous to take too much.

That was what confused me, I expected it to be a macguffin she needed to live, which was how Dewey had a hold on her, but that's obviously not the case. Then I thought given how she acts towards Dewey, he might be abusing a sort of father-daughter relationship, but he never actually does anything to reinforce such a relationship, quite the opposite.

So if he is literally killing her, and treating her like shit, why does she stay? Well I mean she doesn't at the end she realises she loves Dominique and so betrays him, but the problem was there was no reason or development. She just went through 50 episodes and then finally realised "hang on wtf am I doing?". They completely left her character development by the roadside and forgot to pick it back up.
>>
I actually enjoyed AO.
>>
>>379182728
>why does she stay?
Because like I said, she didn't see any value in herself as a person and didn't have anywhere to go. She also kind of used Dewey as a love substitute, as feeling useful to someone fulfilled her. Hence why she jumped at the chance to help Dewey near the end of the series after he had practically already abandoned her. Ultimately, all Anemone wanted was for someone to love her.

>but the problem was there was no reason or development

She had accepted a mission knowing that it was probably going to result in her dying and realized Dominique loved her after he put himself in harms way and almost sacrificed himself to save her. Now that she had a reason to live and had gained her main wish, she abandoned Dewey and the mission.

>Because like I said, she didn't see any value in herself as a person and didn't have anywhere to go. She also kind of used Dewey as a love substitute
That actually seems pretty plausible, and I see how you could come to that conclusion as I felt something similar, but I feel there was not nearly enough focus on their relationship to say for sure, her actions vaguely imply it but nothing is ever confirmed, and going by actions alone without some kind of backstory to explain still seems more like a theory to me.
>Ultimately, all Anemone wanted was for someone to love her
Again how I felt, but Dewey never really gives her any love whatsoever, he tells her to perform and then admonishes her for failing to do so, if there was any backstory developing their relationship I could believe she is trying not to disappoint her father-figure, but they simply don't give us anything to work with.
She had accepted a mission knowing that it was probably going to result in her dying and realized Dominique loved her after he put himself in harms way and almost sacrificed himself to save her. Now that she had a reason to live and had gained her main wish, she abandoned Dewey and the mission.
The fact that it took her the entire series to realise that pain=bad and love=good was ridiculous, ultimately the pay off to this scene was pretty terrible. I feel we are watching the same thing with a completely different view.
>>
>>379172747
Unfortunately no but now is the perfect gen to make one, unfortunately all hype is lost unless they can do something with the recent movie trilogy announced. I just want a retelling of the main series like they did for that naruto shit, They can add on some tacked multiplayer like lift racing or like gecko vs united fed sky battles, whatever i just need to experience that Seven Swell again. Obviously 3rd person too. Add on some side missions with Gekko state while they're at it, and make AO the dlc shit so I don't need to waste my money on the dlc
>>
>>379174226
>Feel free to ignore all of it.
No no I have faith in Bones even if they fucked those other things up, the movie trilogy is gonna be good R-right? ;_;
>>
Are there any anime where the villain realizes they're being retarded and ruining everything BEFORE the climax and without violent therapy from the MC?
