Underrail has one of the best casters in vidya i've ever seen, though they are psi-based. Not infinity engine-tier broken but extremely fucking creative in the ways they can use their power.

The good parts of D&D magic, is that it has level 7+ spells, that extreme in effects and traits. Yet at the some time, its a crutch system of no intended balance, where nothing works as intended outside of magic.
