Never played EYE but I enjoyed STALKER and the Deus Ex series. Any recommendations for a newb? Essential mods or whatnot?

I tried to get into it twice before and I'll probably try again tonight.

So tell me, what do I spec my guy in at the start? Because I sure as fuck have no clue about the game

play through it vanilla without worrying too much first. It is pretty simple and the main story is only like 6 missions.

I restarted like 6 times because I got fatal wounds early but it isn't as big a deal as you'd think.

Spec for speed for the most fun, magic powers aren't too fun IMO but the cybernetic powers are awesome.

If at all possible, play coop with friends. The more, the merrier.
Don't worry about minmaxing your character or wasting stats, not on your first playthrough anyway. There will be time for that later, first you need to learn the game.
The first and only research you need to do, until you know what you're doing, is the medikit.
If you're confused by the plot, or lack thereof, you're on the right way to insanity. Just continue killing dudes and blowing stuff up.
Some of the best weapons/powers require research or certain stats to be bought and used.
If the enemies feel too easy/hard, you can adjust various difficulty settings and respawn rate in the menu.
Trust nobody, not even your wife.

Most important of all, if you're not having fun, change your playstyle.
If you're still not having fun, then just drop the game, nobody will blame you. Don't force yourself to play it if you don't enjoy it, although it *does* get better later.

The only mod there is the dialogue """fix"""", which you ABSOLUTELY MUSTN'T USE, because it is an abomination that completely ruins the atmosphere.

You need the secret scroll.
Which you get in the artifact room for 666,666 Brouzouf.
After you broke the seal.
But only if you saved Dutch on mars.
Then the doors will open but only for 2 hours every other wednesday.


Nah I'm just messing with you. There's nothing behind those doors and no hidden levels in the game files.

buy the sentry to unlock them in your armory. You can cheese anything after that or at least create safe zones to retreat to and heal with the medkit.

if you pick them up and hold one you also get xp and brouzof for the kills it gets

how do i get the ending where you side with rimnah? just kill your mentor on mars? if i side with the feds but turn on them on their ship or in the bit after what ending does that lead to?
