I play BB alot and even sometimes go to tournaments for it, but playing 3D fighters feels like playing an entirely different genre, getting used to it is pretty hard. At least neutral works pretty much the same, even if inputs and combos don't.

Does anyone have general tips on how to play Chloe? I've been messing around with her and can get a decent WL in Ranked (at least so far), but right now I feel like everyone I beat is just mashing, and everyone I lose to is genuinely outplaying me in every way. The few times I do beat those people, it's just plain luck I think.

If you input a qcb with Bryan (or another backsway character), he does a mini-stance where he leans backwards and moves backwards at the same time.

It's annoying as fuck because it messes up backdash canceling. The correct method for backdash canceling is inputting b, b, d/b/, n, b, d/b. However, most people just half-ass it by inputting b, b, qcb instead because it's much easier. On Bryan, this causes a backsway instead of a backdash to come out and, since a backsway is incredibly unsafe, you usually get killed for it.

Discounting the obvious difficulties of Kaz like wavedashing and EWGF, he's hard because he can't cheese anyone. He has no low crush, massive + strings (ala Dragunov) or anything like that. He relies on exceptional movement, game knowledge and whiff punishing - which is why the Koreans are so good with Mishimas in general.

Story Assist WGF is your main punisher; Akuma teleports are pretty unsafe.

You can fly over fireballs using Story Mode Hell Lancer. Alternatively, SS it and punish with Story Assist WGF.

Use b,3+4 to dodge Focus Attack. Akuma will start doing Focus Dash -> Dash Cancel -> Raging Demon when he's on 50%. Getting hit by a Raging Demon is sure death.

Don't forge to press R1 after Akuma's life is depleted and rage mode activates.

why am i so shit at this game
i'm completely new to tekken and i'm losing to people who seem just as if not more brainded than me.
every time I try to use a sidestep or back dodge as steve i almost always get fisted by a follow up move straight after, but if I block strings at some point they usually sneak in some lows and then I go flying and get railed. should I be using dodge? it seems to be doing more bad than good, but its satisfiyng landing the matrix uppercuts
