It's nowhere near as polished as Overwatch, but in terms of gameplay it's much deeper.

It does have some balance issues, though. I main lifedrain Tyra, and years of high level quake and unreal tournament have honed my aim to near perfection, I'm talking literally 98% accuracy. I am impossible to kill as long as I don't run into their whole team at once. I would say lifedrain needs a nerf but you have to take into account player skill.

While much better than it's competitor game Overwatch, it has many flaws that cannot be ignored when playing the game.
While the game is playable and, quite honestly, visibly has had effort put into it by it's developers, along with it just being incredibly fun, competitive, and deep gameplay-wise, it's plagued by bugs, unbalanced characters, and scummy developers.
At it's current state, I would give it a 4/10, at least a 3/10. Would play again.

As long as cauterize and wrecker are in the game playing healer or tank is no fun at all. You will feel utterly useless past five minutes when everyone has caut at lv2 or wrecker at lv2. Once they have it at lv3 you enter into no fun allowed territory and will experience nothing but frustration

I guess what they were trying to do with the items, which is prevent the horrible stalemates you sometimes see in OW, but this is the completely wrong approach. Even crits in TF2 are a better way of preventing stalemates than completely nullifying two classes past five minutes

Cauterize is only active for a moment after taking damage from someone with it, and it's absurd to complain about not being able to fully heal someone in one ability use (most of the cast has less than 3000 health). That 600 heal is still plenty useful.

This desu. Esports literally killed Overwatch, not that it had the highest skill celling to begin with. Imagine if Valve had rebalanced TF2 every 6 weeks because not enough Pros were playing Spy, or too many Scouts in the last Pro League match.

Going off what it was like last time I played (some months ago now), Most of the supports had some kind of debuff and deal decent sustained damage (though without the massive spike damage that many of the dps can put out). In fact at that point one of the supports was basically an easymode dps that could also heal themselves and permaslow the enemy to stop them from running away.
The tanks all required you to be very close to the enemy to do any damage at all which meant that you had to either rely heavily on your team to deal with long range targets or ignore the objective be incredibly aggressive which usually frustrates your teammates.

I'm pissed they ruined it. It was my favorite shooter for a time at the end of 2015 before they decided to fuck it all up for the sake of mixing the game up.

I dunno if you're being sarcastic or not, but that is not how it works in practice. a team of all DPS will very rarely win against a team with a proper comp, and these wins are only when the proper comp team if full of bad players. Two teams of equal skill? Proper comp wins. Tanks not only have their shields, but quite a bit more HP than other classes, and while Cauterize can hurt healers trying to heal during combat, you can pick your healing targets, avoid those under the effect, focus on those without it, or you know, communicate with your team, get people to find some cover before they die so you can heal em up quick and get them back into the fight.

Was that when it launched? I don't remember what year it launched, but it was snowball as fucking hell in the first build. Games were essentially won or lost based on who took the first objective, as the objective taker got level advantage, and with no way to comeback when behind, the team with that advantage proceeded to steamroll the other. The games back then also required you to cap a point 2-3 times before you could push your cart all the way, making the matches way longer than they needed to be since they were decided after the first cap.
