The Pro allows you to stream 720p/60fps and I think that's it. The base PS4 only lets you to stream at 30fps. Other than that the Pro is a failure. And yes, Digital Foundry are full of shit.

The Pro is bigger, runs hotter, is louder, costs a $100 more yet the benefits are really hard to see.

Pretty sure you're wrong. Base PS4 can do 720p/60 if you are only streaming and it is not writing the video to the HDD. Pro can do at least 1080p/30 when recording to HDD, and 1080p/60 when streaming / broadcasting / remote play
