also looking back post release, its strange they placed her normal guard cancels specials in her dash special. you're already doing the guard cancel input at the very beginning of the dash special, so there was no point to tie the inputs to it.
i know they try ignore majority of the accent core changes, but come on now.

Pretty weak in the current format. Has only 1 cross up mixup, and very limited high low mixups, all requiring 50 tension to convert. Azami is pretty weak and requires some pretty excessive hard reads to even use, and her normals don't really make up for her lack of set play. Her aerials are nice, but her ground buttons are really stubby. Her only real draw besides Azami seems to be her damage. Hope her normals get a bit bigger, or her specials get faster.

Been playing her since it came out and boy am I excited for some quality of life buffs. Fighting axls are so brutal.

Never really cared for Guilty Gear as I've always been a KoF person, but I'd love to have Baiken's titties around my dick.

Not really. She definitely has some of the worst options in the game, a pretty mediocre gimmick that requires a LOT of skill to use, AND terrible health. Pretty much every low tier is better than her right now, and frankly probably easier to play than her to boot.

well both tierlists were made by huge exaggerators but I think it's a pretty sound placing for now until she grows more. Having high damage is nice but like a poster above said she has weak okizeme and just alright buttons with a couple stand outs. I think Azami will be the key at the end of the day because even though people say her GC is gone she does still have red azami which will take player skill to really take advantage of.

Sucks though because it seems like the character is finished in Japan. Sharon already using Millia again and Kakkou seems to want to stick with Ramlethal

Not nearly as fun as +R. Azami is less fun, less interesting, and less powerful than her old guard breaks and she's more easily punished for trying to use it since it sucks so hard when done out of blockstun. Her new options out of azami are strong but the combo routes are just less fun/cool to me; her 6P doesn't feel as cool as the AC two-hit one, dustloops aren't as satisfying since FRCs are gone and you don't have to hit the FRC point on the dust anymore, and I always thought zakuro was the coolest combo ender so I'm pretty upset about her losing it. She's also still just as meter hungry but it feels worse since so many options now require 50% instead of 25%.

Still having a lot of fun with Rev2, but I'm sticking with Sol for now. Might pick up Answer once people figure him out a bit more, I don't really like labbing new characters that much. Really hoping Robo-Ky gets added in before Xrd is over though, he's my favorite and Pachi's comments on how he'd transition to Xrd sounded pretty neat.

Answer is a super technical monster, with millia tier character specific combos. He's probably more work than you're looking for.

I'm sure Xrd is getting plenty more updates, dlc or otherwise since they had to make Rev on a new engine. They'll probably stay with it for at least 2 more updates. Robo-ky is almost assured to come at some point before that.

The point was that having to hit the FRC made her j.d corner combos more interesting. Regardless of what FRC and FB did to +R balance, not having that FRC point makes Baiken's dustloops pretty boring in Xrd. You barely even have to adjust them for each character.

El's best at doing damage when she's got someone in the corner. Push people back by throwing out your grenade all the time, pushing them back with Bridal Express, and always mash Heavy Slash for your pistol.

Also, try to abuse Judge Better Half. Everyone seems to fucking get hit with the cinematic version if you use it as a reversal.

If you want optimal you sure do. Hell you don't even have to go across characters. Depending on the height, starter and prorate of the combo it changes a lot. Yeah loops are easier, but they're definitely not just j.s j.d delayed air dash j.s j.d.

Elphelt has repeatedly been nerfed and leo struggles to get in more than any oki monster character. Both characters also didn't have anything to change in the first place since they're new. Dizzy got huge buffs and both her and jam is definitely viable as characters. You can definitely win with either, and Dizzy in particular is super oppressive right now.

Blitz makes him a bit weaker than he already was fundamentally, but YRC could make fights with him incredibly annoying and I don't think people would like that, forcing ASW to take out what was actually fun about him.

Forward jump into either a late Tatami such that the kick animation is almost on the ground safejumps everything. I believe you can also Kirei Tatami it to get a blitz safe setup. This is after either a banjo run uppercut or running slash ender. You can instead do an empty low/throw, do a descending high, or do a late airdash to run multiple highs (up to 4 I believe).

Right, you don't get true fireball oki but you get a safejump setup which also does high/low. You can then spend meter to get a really nasty high/low which also eats inputs and gives you fireball coverage. It's quite strong oki as she is getting it after most any confirm.

The big difference is that Raven gets true fireball oki, but he has a lot more trouble doing a safejump instead of oki while looking like he was going for his fireball oki. Baiken gets you guessing there, and her ability to do blitz safe oki is really good, which Raven cannot until he's built up 3 ticks of excitement.

Like, she's not the vortex monster that Raven/Millia/Chipp are, but she's better than most of the cast. Her problem is that she can't convert juggles well into oki outside of the corner
