The thing with the originals was that there wasn't a lighting engine so they didn't have to think about what something would look like at a certain angle or with what type of lighting. They simply made the texture the color they wanted and didn't have to worry about anything else. With a lighting engine, it takes a lot more fine-tuning and polishing to get those kinds of results.

It's just incredibly obvious. Crash is not a huge name anymore, and there aren't millions upon millions of die-hard Crash fans who have been desperately waiting for this. Crash hasn't had a substantial game release in almost 10 years, so the demand for him is obviously not very high. On top of that, remakes never sell huge numbers even when they look good, which this doesn't in a lot of people's eyes. The Ratchet remake sold 2.2 mil, and that was a completely re-imagined game with a tie-in movie, for a franchise that was still relevant all the way through the PS3 generation. The Crash remakes look nowhere near as good as the Ratchet remake did in terms of visual polish. The Crash remakes will sell a little over 1 million I would guess, which will still make them profitable given what a low-budget project it obviously is.

Plus, even if it does come to PC, budget Activision titles don't have the best record for framerates. Wasn't the latest Ninja Turtles game locked at 30 on PC? Also it's possible when remaking Crash they copied over the movement and stuff 1:1, which most likely means it simply won't work at any framerate except 30 (or 25 if they use PAL version).

I do all of this with my Monitor and PC too. It objectively subjectively feels just right. I'll even munch on some cereal or drink a cup of hot cocoa while playing in the bed. In 60 frames per sec.

Again this was supposed to be a Wii U game, to was shoved to Switch because of low Wii U sales.

Also, theres a rumor that the game is only in 720P due to that it's just a Wii U game with a ARMv8 boot strap, bypassing the PPC750 & R700 boot straps needed to have the game run on the Wii U and that homebrew got the game (Test Fire) running on Wii U with very little effort and that it runs 100% the same way on the Wii U as it does on the Switch.

The Game Pad's screen is blank but still controls the same way otherwise (2nd screen was disabled to free up ram), complete with Wii Remote with Nunchuck, Wii Classic Controller and Wii U Pro Controller support and if you add a line of code to the US, even the Joy Cons & Switch Pro Controller work 100% with the game running on Wii U.

Booting to Miiverse does work but it redirects you to the first game's Miiverse page ans Screenshots are disabled.

But because the Wii U bombed, they slapped a ARMv8 Boot strap and shoved it on the Switch with no edits what so ever.

However none of this is confirmed as of now.
