Now I know ive been playing this game since psp, and ive gotten gud. Though it pains me to seeing these styles and how little punishment the monsters actually can return. I don't hate them it's just the monsters were not designed for them. It really shows how broken these mmo additions are. If the game got weekly/monthly re-balancing on em they would be ok. Sadly this is not the case and we see a spectrum of fucking useless to fucking broken based on what weapon ur using. Also fucking hilarious to see sns become a leet dps weapon instead of utility and having to think about items usage with it. Though this is the faggots bitching about speedkills rather than a more balanced loot system and benefits for taking multiple weapon types(fucking 4 cb 4lbg 4GS and 4ds look at u). They have moved away from HUNTING and have slowly been inching towards HACKNSLASHN. Taking down monsters piece by piece should be the goal, but there are only a few fights in which that seems to still exist.

TL;DR MH should focus more on team-play rather than this obsession over everyone becoming massive dps speedrun kill weapons. Along w stances being incredibly imbalanced in most ways(good or bad).

The problem with everything you just listed is fairly simple and i'm surprised you even listed them in the first place...they are hunted for and are sets you technically earn. Also I did not say that cheese didn't exist, I'm stating that it exists in a scale that is fucking silly compared to any other MH. Also again you act like these things would be KNOWN by people playing the game unless they looked up this information. You can simply test the stances and see the cheese, and all it takes is a few minutes of ur time to do so. Granted MH has become more openly available stats wise and know how because we have gone from figuring out hunts(again this strays from hunting and more hacknslashing) to just looking up on one of the many apps/websites of what to do. Also I never had an issue with the cheese of the past because you either looked like a faggot, or it was small and easily avoidable. I can refuse to hunt w faggots using any of those things you listed, and I have laughed at friends who spammed CB because they legit had a crutch while playing. It's a bit harder when everyone is just trying to play what they enjoy, and that SOME monsters do punish certain styles so its fun to see them get smacked for not thinking. Now I do not HATE the styles don't get me wrong, just like I do not HATE the past items that were considered cheese, but when the classic way of playing becomes weakest way to play in most cases it shows that its not only cheesy shit, but not well thought through shit.

Honestly a modern military force would fucking decimate monsters from MH. They're really going to have to find some bullshit explanation as to why it doesn't work, like, some sort of magic shit about how it's two separate realities so weapons from our worlds have no effect on them.
I doubt they'll actually show too much hunting, and if they do, it'll probably be some retarded montage, or the hero just so happens to accidentally kill a high level monster and gets a full set.

You know what the great thing about Monster Hunter is? Is that it does something very similar to Dark Souls, where you're not the chosen one, but you can be. In Dark Souls, if you don't complete your objective to link the flame, you canonically hollow out. In Monster Hunter, there's not just a single hunter, there's a fuckton of them.

The cool guys wearing the cool armor with the cool weapons made from the harder monsters? You can be that guy. You can fight those harder monsters, but only if you choose to. Some hunters probably only ever made it as far as hunting and killing Jaggi's and the odd Seltas and Kecha Wacha, maybe some got up to the point of being capable enough to hunt Tetsucabra's, Gypceros', and Gendromes.

You as the player decide if you want to continue your hunt by finishing more and more quest, while other players decide to go no further and play another game. If a hunter has a full set of Rathalos, Zinogre, etc. you know that they were good enough and successful in their hunt. They wouldn't just give that stuff out to anyone. If you want it, go get it, and become one of the cool guys.

This whole plot to me tells me that there's going to be maybe one or two main characters, no doubt a love interest because you have to force in one of those. And while it is very possible for a single person to hunt a great monster, they make it seem like these monsters are incredibly tough, considering that apparently modern day firearms won't do the trick.
The guy's going to come off more as a Mary Sue than a true hunter.
