Can you at least clarify what you mean? Many of the animations are either really old or actually fairly spot on. Much of Kazuya's Karate is legit and a lot of the throw animations are spot fucking on, Paul's Judo and Dragunov's Sambo grappling throws and such are legit motion captured as fuck.

It's easy enough to dodge but it breaks the flow and what makes Tekken fun.
It's much better to get the opponent low enough to not get rage mode and then allow them to take you to rage mode for a guaranteed win.
You can simply wait till they decide to attack since you can poise through it.
Comeback mechanics are always terrible and drive players away.
Call me casual if you want, but don't complain that the genre is dying when you praise such harmful additions.

I think I tried that and the surprise low grab Dragunov has but if I remember right the only time it worked was the time I won. It was made worse by that his combo was a launcher so I'd be at the wall immediately if I didn't block and tried to get a hit in. Anyone who's been exposed to more technical, more dynamic fighting games will quickly pass on tekken. Other top fighters, namely Street Fighter, KoF and MK/Injustice have advanced impressively in their latest installments; but the relic that is tekken just can't seem to evolve, furthermore many combos can be done simply by hitting 1-button, and the nearly "instant-kill" rage art moves are just laughably broken. Instead of a supplying a proper fighting engine, matches in T7 seem to rely heavily on "who can get their rage move off first". So many elements of the gameplay don't even require any sort of skill. In my book, slow motion over and over again also gets old very quickly. And in the end, it's more of a novelty or gimmick rather than an actual, thought-out fighting game mechanic. But hey, the casual crowd will be pleased!

If you want something a little more "button-masher-friendly," tekken might be your cup of tea.... Key word, might.

Tekken 7 is probably the most disappointing Tekken game I've played thus far.
