Cash shop releases with $25 Sleipnir model which was already in the game and used by Odin, at the same time they put in an Odin trial fight that could have dropped it. Cash shop later adds more content that was already in the game, Nero and Livia's magitech mounts, and sell it an absurd price.

Leveling potions would only really bother me if they were in a game like old XI or WoW where leveling was actually part of the challenge of the game itself.

In most modern MMOs the levels are just a chore and add nothing to the experience. I don't like how that's what it's become but that's just kind of the truth of the matter.

It's very upsetting that they couldn't have just come up with a way to make leveling more enjoyable/added something you could grind for at max level to make leveling your next job easier(think heirlooms without the inflated stats).

Depends on how much you put into it.

I'm in the military and work 12 hour shifts and sometimes don't have access to the game for weeks at a time depending on what's going on. But I still managed to get 6 classes to 60 and gear them up appropriately just playing a few hours a day when I can.

You'll need a FC if you plan to get into the hardcore raiding stuff but keeping up with normal content is easy.

The only thing that's a made up fantasy world is that racing to see who can clear faster is any sort of competitive aspect within the game. Same as wow, all roles play simirally with a few exceptions. WHM SCH and AST all play differently with the same goal, and a lot of useless skills were removed. Until the expansion releases we don't know how much homogenized jobs are.

FFXIV has a bunch of obligatory quests to clear before catching up with the content, and same as WoW that's more for people who already played the game and have alts.

SB still has the base 2.5 gcd but the difference with WoW is that it can be shortened and that there are a bunch of oGCD skills to use in between. In short, the GCD is still going to feel slow for WoW players.
