Vanilla.
Diablo is good atmospheric game with pretty good story, Hellfire adds goofy stuff.
Gameplay is not its strong suit, Diablo 2 is better when it comes to that.

you can run in the town which is great, but not in the dungeon, and the other extra stuff is worse.

Hellfire for the hidden character classes.

Played dis back when I was 6 years old (it just came out). Scary as hell.

Recently beat it again with my newfag younger friends who were still in diapers when it came out. Out of my 5 friends who installed it, only 1 remained with me consistently to the end.

To this day I bow to him respectfully.
