Yes, i have 20-40 fps in the city, 60 outside.
In Online textures dont even spawn sometimes.

I actually got quite far into GTA SA, finished all Zero missions and just finished the mission with the car you have to rig with a bomb and my save got corrupted.
I got stuck in Just Cause 2 and after trying JC3 out It just feels way too slow.

Oh I had that shit happen to me over 3 downloads.
I even downloaded it on my SSD ( and nearly killed it ) and that shit still happens. It's just my CPU's fault I believe, since its a first gen i5

it's not 3rd person, but they're quite open world:
The STALKER trilogy. They run great on poorfag machines too.

Consult this Starting Guide,
then see the /vg/'s huge Stalker General for more tips and links: >>>/vg/stalker

Play in the release order. Start with no mods - only latest patch, OR get the full "Starter Pack" first; these contain bug-fixers and light visual mods that can help performance as well.
Leave big overhauls for later playthrougs. Avoid the "Complete" -mods. Always play on MASTER difficulty for best realism and atmosphere, and disable crosshair.

Don't give up in the beginning! The starting gear sucks ass and first area can be a bit boring.
