The two main problems with the Pro were:

1) the unrealistic expectations of gamers, which will also be the case with Scorpio, once people realise that Jaguar CPU it's using, no matter how modified, still won't deliver 60fps games unless they're designed to be in the first place, and we start seeing games in Fuax K rather than Narive 4K, since just being 4 times as powerful as a base Xbone isn't enough to make everything that high res.

2) not making enough of them to meet demand.

it exists for sure but 1080p is not it, 1080p was just the highest marketable standard manufacturers pushed back with HD LCD TVs.
You can see a lot of aliasing and blur on a 1080p image even from a decent distance away.
Now 8k exists, it's 16x the resolution of 1080p and it's so high that you cannot see individual pixels even with your face up against the screen.
That's where the diminishing return is.
No one is going to want higher than 8k on consumer electronics, arguably 5k is plenty.
Intel thinks "12k" is going to be a thing for VR but I really doubt it.

I still have problems when I try to turn on my PS4 console. The blue light will turn on for a second, then the whole thing will shut back down, and I wouldn't be able to try again until I unplug the power and plug back in. I've tried disassembling it down to the power supply and then reassembling it, but now I have a problem where the blue light will continue to blink. This shit's fucking retarded, man. I'm thinking of smashing it with a hammer to see if it works.

So, anecdotal ramblings from a hater. He doesn't even own a Pro (just barfing whatever he read online) and then proceeds to complain about the standard PS4's hardware. Which just proves that neither of his claims have any weight since the PS4 doesn't have big issues. CLEARLY he got a bad one and it badly affected his view on the brand overall. It's natural that this happens but his opinion is clearly biased. My 3DSXL analog stick broke in literally 5 pieces from normal usage, doesn't mean all 3DS models are shit and Nintendo sucks, or even that the 3DSXL model in particular is bad. I jsut so happened to get a bad annalog mold for whatever reason, one out of tens of thousands that got a normal unit.

None of this generation's consoles before the switch have widespread hardware issues. Any and all issues that occur are expected and completely normal. Only widespread stuff like PS2/360 bricking is even worth mentioning.

Not a criticism of PS4pro whatsoever. In fact that's almost a compliment. OG PS4 owners aren't left in the dust with PS4pro's release. Both co-exist. I said so myself in the post. It's only a matter of spending extra dosh or not, any PS4 model will do. Unlike, say, 3DS or DS or Gameboy model, whose revisions got exclusives so it DOES matter which one you own.

But morons want a $800 worth of performance out of a $400 (soon to be $350) machine. I can only blame the morons, not the console.

4K isn't mainstream. Some games won't enable Pro mode at all if it detects a 1080P tv, meaning you don't get AA, improved textures, shadows and even 60fps (let alone even fewer games that lock 30 fps on Pro mode), which defeats the purpose for some people to future proof.
Also, no Pro-specific games. The games are hampered by having to be compatible with vanilla PS4. This is the problem Scorpio is going to face.
And for a very small fraction of people, no UHD Blue-ray.
