Overlord is dead.

1st one was lots of fun when it came out

Picked up the second when it was on sale a few months ago and it just didn't have the magic the first one did, couldn't play more than a few hours

Never played the first one, an AUDIO ERROR caused the game to run at 10fps.
Overlord 2 could have been better.

I kinda liked the roman designs, im just glad the second one gave me more strategy than "spam brown minions at everything.

it has this cringy french touch to it that makes me unable to play it. It feels like the game was made to cater to people who's favorite characters through the years were crazy frog and the minions.

Gameplay is also a bit too dumbed down for what it could be but that's me.

Good and enjoyable but not great

2 added a bit more strategy but had a less interesting story line to it, more customization was nice though. Fellowship of evil probably killed the series.

Cool concept, but they never really got it down pat or truly refined the idea.

Needed to stop having the antagonist be more of a dick than you, therefore destroying the games gimmick. Was my shit when I was younger though and I feel like its underrated

Finished both last year, they are OK games to spend some time, i really liked the atmosphere and humor, but i wish there were more customization options and maybe even some light rpg elements but not as light as 2.

I enjoyed my time with Overlord 1 but I've probably tried beating that game like, 4 different times, and every time I just get super fucking bored after getting a waifu and quit.

For real though, I don't know what it is, but I just get slogged down, quit for awhile, get the urge to play it again, then restart it, and the cycle repeats. So even though I did enjoy my time with it, I stay away from both Overlord and Overlord 2.

Well lets see theres always soul nomad if your willing to play through the main story once and are fine with strategy games. Newgame+ gives you an edgelord story mode where you basically kill the entire cast because you just feel like it.

You can get the corruption ending with like 55%

I especially liked the Dungeon Keeper vibe I got from the game.
