They removed assault rifles but made sniping and SMGs more lethal.

As a result, the only class that are remotely capable of mid-range engagement are Medics who are supposed to be in the thick of it reviving teammates.

As a result, you're left with a very unpleasant MP experience. If you're trying to cap points, you have to throw yourself into a mess of special effects, muddy explosions and people armed with SMGs capable of tearing you to shreds in a few shots, alongside grenade spam.

If you're playing as a long-range class, you might as well be playing on a different map.

If you're caught outside of your classes' comfort zone, you're pretty much already dead.

I would have been fine with the automatic weapons if they were really shitty and very situational. The oldschool mode with only bolt action rifles actually leads to some pretty interesting gunfights especially when you have both teams fighting over one point. It really makes me want a high budge american civil war game

The playerbase. I can ignore every technical issue this game has, but its gets pretty fucking annoying joining server after server and getting stuck on utterly braindead teams.

Man the TOTALLY HISTORICAL argument annoyed me so much.

They'd put some bullshit into the game and people would point out some weird prototype that was used like once with very limited success in an obscure battle before being retired and act as though every other soldier in every battlefield wore power armour and carried an SMG.

They should have just teamed up with the guys who did Bioshock Infinite and made it alternate reality, because it's clear that they don't give a fuck about making a realistic game.
