the new game of the guy who made the actual X-Com.

Phoenix Point.
It's made by the guy who did the original X-Com games, but unfortunately the gameplay looks more like it's based on nu-XCOM than on the originals.
Still looks pretty cool though, I've been keeping an eye on the development for a while.

I don't see multiple attack chances.
Is this game as casual and simplistic as nuXCOM?
Will it have at least good destruction/smoke physics?
>>379007238
The movement/attack system is pretty much literally nu-XCOM as far as I know, with just a few tweaks like being able to interrupt movement and being able to target body parts.
I don't know about smoke, but they have confirmed that it will have environment destruction physics.
>>379007238
It's nuXcom with ballistics and 4X.
We'll have a gameplay video this Monday
>>379007683
They haven't implemented everything yet, so ballistics aren't in the demo build, but they ought to be eventually.
>>379007642
>>379007683
That is sad.
We are still playing catch up to Xcom Apoc when it comes to smoke physics (smoke moves down over time).
At this rate we will never get to Silent Storm.
Does it even has single shot/burst/full-auto modes?

>Does it even has single shot/burst/full-auto modes?
I don't think they've said anything about that.
>>379004176
thought this campaign was over but there's still 4 days left. not enough donated for underwater missions or the floating base though.
>>379008261
It's possible because these things usually get a big boost on the last day, but I don't think they'll get there.
Honestly I wish they did the stretch goals in reverse order, because I don't give a shit about driveable vehicles in a game like this. The idea just gives me Panzerklein flashbacks.
hopefully he's at least 1 dollar short lol
