ITT: Hidden gems
>>378995067
Theresia Dear Emile is the absolute hidden gem. It's a master piece.
Empire Earth was so good, but Jesus Christ it's an ugly goddamn game. Unit pathfinding and the camera in particular weren't anything to write home about. That said, I wish there were more games with alternate history campaigns like it and its sequel had.
>Empire Earth
>Hidden Gem
The game is great, but by no means is it it obscure.
>>378995067
>hidden
underage piece of shit
>>378995969
>>378995642
Okay maybe hidden isn't the right word but I don't see it discussed here nearly as much as the AoE games, Rise of Nations, and so on.
>>378995475
This game was so strange but the combat was pretty fun. The ending was confusing.

EE was fucking great, but the graphics aged like milk, it would be great if EE was remastered with modern graphics
But dreaming is free i guess

ATTACK WITH SHARPENED STEEL
EE has a huge amount of nostalgic value for me but It's probably correct that it's remembered mostly for being hugely ambitious rather than achieving those ambitionsI liked how the russian campaign eventually ended up with you going back in time to the first campaign mission

YOURE UNDER ATTACK
>>378997687
Yeah man, that fucking Russian campaign was boss. And then you fight with an evil Russian Optimus Prime.
>mfw That final mission starts and I know where I am.

THE END IS COMING!
>>378998148
I wonder what made the developers think that a game featuring advanced robots and weaponry, along with a fairly thorough look at all epochs of human history, should have a magic unit that can summon volcanoes on top of things
Not that I'm complaining
>>378999134
It was extremely satisfying though. Not if you were on the receiving end and you see a naked dude with a sign running away after dropping fire on your ass.
>>378995067
the last one is such a dog shit
>>378999783
2 wasn't very good either.
Empire Earth Art of Conquest + one million pop mod is great though.
>>378995067
really want to play EE again
>don't want to buy it on steam or GOG or whatever
>can't find a torrent anywhere
>>378995067
I never really understood this game's morale system and purpose of houses, but I was also 9 at the time. I remember the New Russia campaign was pretty sweet.
>pulled it out of a value bin 7-8 years ago
>was actually pretty fun
>literally no one has played it.
It's a real shame.
>>379000204
That remaster or whatever just came out too
>>378999932

>That remaster or whatever just came out too
It got remastered? That is a surprise
>>379000691
Yeah it's on ps4 at the very least. I always wanted to play it and now I just might.
>empire earth
>rise of nation
>age of empire
>stronghold crusader
>all these great IPs deaded
>>379001529
Just to let you know the story is stupid af iirc.
For the most part it's just a slightly better tower defense. You might want to wait till it is on sale.
>>378995067
>Play online
>Get rushed by cavalry while still in the early ages
Fucking RTS man

Not shaming here, but how long have you been here? Mid '07 here and it was discussed all the time in RTS threads.
>>379000253
This looks rad as fuck, what is it?
>>379002304
Came here in 09'

IIRC houses give friendly units within your borders a combat bonus. Remember hospitals? Kinda like that, but instead of healing
EE was my jam for so many years.
