ZombiU had a pretty shitty mechanic.
two modes: one death and your done or casual mode where you come back to life as a new character and have to kill your old character for your items back.
the problem? the casual mode switches to one death and your done right at the end of the game without telling you, if you die during the home stretch it just gives you a bad ending and saves over your game file so you cannot access it.
this is made worse by an accidental button press causing my character to pull a 180 turn resulting in death.

Your mistake was playing ZombiU

I remember a newgronds game that, once you died once, stored a cookie on your computer so you got a game over instantly upon loading the game again.

i bought a wiiu at launch, it wasn't really all that bad of a game but it has some pretty bad issues.
i recall when i played it they expected alot more people to play it because if your friends die in the game you can find their zombie form in your game so you can kill them for extra loot.
in actual practice these special zombies were rare as fuck so i spent 95% of the game swinging a cricket bat around.

I think that yandere VN locks you out of the game once you've finished it.
