The thing that stood out so much for me with Horizon were the pictures and videos that were posted here.

Breath of the Wild and NieR: Automata kept getting new screenshots, webms and fanart posted here of various moments and whatever. Some looked great, some looked sloppy as it was just a person using a crappy capture device. Horizon kept getting the exact same screenshots and short clips that looked expertly done. There was about a collection of 20 that got posted in every damn thread and that was it.

It may have had high notes, but it wasn't inspiring people to share them beyond those 20 or so that existed since the game came out.

Hell I used my PS2 for a DVD player its entire 1st year, since it was the cheapest DVD player at the time. I did end up liking the wiiU and 360, the PS2 was great in the end... but the rest? I still desperately search for things to interest me on this stupid PS4, and the PS3 was underwhelming, outside of HD PS2 collections. The original wii was the first home Nintendo console I didn't like and I'm not even going to talk about the bone.

It seems having 1 game you want to play on a console (as it launches) is a good sign it's going to be pretty good. If they can't even deliver that, then in most cases it's a bad sign; whether it gets games later or not.
