NFS is dead. Gran Autismo and Forza are better than NFS ever was. Haven't played Project Cars or Automobilista but I bet those are better than any NFS game after Most Wanted, since that isn't exactly hard to do.

I feel like non-simulator racing games are getting "obsolete" because of games like GTA.
NFS right now it's just GTA with a more arcade driving but no walking around, and it really feels like they would love to make it a GTA game.

Right after Undercover (late 2008), they were already at task making the next NFS, in addition to finishing Skate 2 (and later 3). So they spend a whole year just getting Frostbite 2 to work for ~18 months to send it out for fall 2011.

I still find it hard to believe the people that made MW2005 were the same behind this crap.
The handling was fucked, the story made no sense whatsoever, and the PC port was garbage.
