Yeah I've been emulating a little bit of 3 and 5 over the past week or so but the last time I played Tekken before that was when I was a kid on the PS1. I'm loving it so far though and trying to prepare myself for when some of the newcomers I'm somehow beating end up quitting and I'm left fighting the veterans.

Nobody in Tekken is bad. Due to the way the combo system works, people that can juggle easily are considered better, but I wouldn't say anyone is really bad to play.
King is really good as a grappler and someone who can shutdown his opponents. He's dangerous if you can use him and has been a fan favourite for a while

It's quite good. The fighting is very satisfying and even the most basic combos feel great to pull off. Story mode is entertaining, Treasure mode and unlocking customization for your characters is fun. I haven't played a Tekken game since Tekken 4, but I'm in love with 7. If you don't mind getting your ass kicked online for a while, then I'd say give it a try. Tournament Mode is also a lot of fun, especially if you get in a lobby with people who actually talk and don't get salty.

king and lei main here, Im good with king, I can do kings grab combos and have done since T4.
T4 had no escapes and I could 1 shot anyone in that game.
Any decent level player would not really get mixed up in kings deeper grabs, so he is only good as a grappler at lower levels. he is still good as a powerhouse though.

That webm, the reason why that guy got fucked up was because he did not know the correct ways to get up in a tekken game. If you dont have the knowledge of the 7-8 ways to get up differently off of the floor you will get rekt by any average player.
