Good, finally people are realizing that PC is the ideal platform for fighting games. Barring fight sticks, m+kb is the second best way to play a fighting game. I have this idea that SFV's horrible launch gave it a bad image, and the image stuck because Capcom actually decided to update the game with incremental DLC rather than new versions this time. As much as people made fun of SFIV for how many versions of it there were, each update was a huge overhaul and it brought people in, just look at the paradigm shift from vanilla to Super.

SFV is a lot better now but I think Capcom shot themselves in the foot with the new model of updates/DLC, which has failed to salvage the image of the game. The rootkit fiasco sure didn't help.

SSF4 was actually a huge improvement over vanilla. It got a lot of shit from later version because AE absolutely fucked the balance. They tried to unfuck it but made it worse with USF4

From what I can tell, USF4 is the most balanced version of the game. True some characters like Evil Ryu had a blatant advantage in plenty of matchups but people were making top 8 with whack-ass characters, and I coulda swore Alex Valle won a tourney with Hugo of all characters.
