If you're looking for an easy game to get into the series, Birthright is easier to get into with better gameplay, but worser story.

While I shouldn't be one to talk since I modded my 3DS for the sole purpose of pirating games, atleast support the series by buying it if you liked and gave it a playthrough. While Emblem isn't in the state it once was, if developers don't get the sales they need future titles won't get released.
