Does /v/ like Prince of Persia?

most of /v/ is probably too young to even remember that series, as sad as it sounds

but yeah, i liked the original trilogy

I only played the first two, they were okay. Haven't touched the 3D shit.

Loved it but I think SoT had the best levels between the 3 of them. 2008 is pretty meh but had beautiful graphics, I have to admit.

Never played the 1st.

I wasnt able to enjoy the 2nd cause the Dahaka gave me the creeps.

I loved the 3rd one tho.

I also forgot that this exists. It was pretty alright, too much emphasis on combat though and the animations just weren't as great as any of the other games.

I liked PoP 1 & 2, SoT and WW but didn't care much for TT and never played any released after that.

But yeah, Prince of Persia is one of my favorite game series. Sand of Time and the 2008 reboot are among the best video games ever made. And Forgotten Sand has the best platforming of the entire series. Two Thrones was a fine game.

The trilogy was great. I think that if you took the best parts of each of them, you'd have a god-tier game.

Played almost the entirety of the franchise (still missing on the remake of Shadow and the Flame and the original PoP 3D), and i'm missing it a lot.
If the 2008 reboot managed to handle better its gameplay it could have been my favourite of the series, but alas.
I would say i hope for something new revealed at E3, but at this point i'm confident Ubisoft has left the franchise to die. What a shame.

I love when retards criticize WW as being edgelord trash when the whole point of the game is being an edgelord is retarded. TT literally retells the same story as WW except this time they removed every and all subtlety from it and had really stupid shit like the Prince's "dark side" actually physically manifesting as something the Prince has to defeat in combat. Only in that way could the morons that make up the gaming public actually get the message.

Who gives a fuck? The result is an edgy game. The point doesn't change a thing. You still have to listen to heavy metal ost for 15 hours. You still have to listen to the Prince angst.

Too bad they made almost every enemy in WW a fucking sponge (unless you have the Water Sword, obviously) and you're forced to either throw them into bottomless pits or keep juggling for hours between them.
At least in the first game i had option for dispatching the enemies quickly.
