Bullshit. I beat both versions (well Dolphin and 3DS), and the 3DS version is fine. The entire game is there in terms of content and presentation, which is crazy considering the scope of the game and the weak 3DS hardware. It takes a graphical hit obviously, but I don't think it looks nearly as bad as people say it does. I actually preferred it on 3DS cause it lends itself so well to short play sessions, and the ability to save anywhere worked well for a handheld game.

Looking at the visuals on a YouTube video is a lot different to playing it on a small 3ds screen. It looks fine for a handheld game. As for the performance, all I can say is I had no noticeable issues while playing. Occasional frame rate drops, but it wasn't frequent enough to bother me.
And like I said before, it suits short playing sessions very well. I played it on the train to work and school, and it was great for those 15-20 minute sessions. If you aren't interested in handheld gaming then yeah, might as well do dolphin.

"It looks ok on a small screen" does absolutely nothing to stop it from looking significantly worse than the original, especially given the downgraded textures, models, draw distance, and everything else.
