It depends. There are two camps.

"Muh RNG" or "Retards". People who haven't figured out the game is a brain dead damage race. Should probably just read the wiki and realize that you can mathematically shit on this game. It's turn based ffs, no reaction time required.

"This game is a brain dead damage race". People who have figured out that due to the fear mechanic and other horrible shit that can happen if you tempt odds, killing shit as fast as fucking possible (as opposed to DOTs, debuffs, unique trinkets, any other foreseeable strategy other than than hard burst) is the META. Death is the best CC.

A liberal helping of "the grind" is sprinkled on everything though.

Not that anon, but I did.

Played it even before the heart attack and corpse mechanic. But what about it?

Still haven't even finished the base game. I played like 40 hours but I have to beat 3 of the same bosses that I beat fucking TWICE already and get a metric fuckton of heirlooms and chests to upgrade more of my facilities. Get a lot of my heroes from lvl 4-5 to 6 as well. It's so boring.

That said, Warhammer Total War made me fall in love with the whole gothic vampire theme so I'll definitely check it out if I ever feel like getting back into this grindfest.
