Also forgot to add, be sure to read up on what role you are going to play. I suggest playing a position 4 support when you're still new. Learn the ward spots, lane control, positioning with your hero in a clash and how your hero works.You can also try out heroes' ability in the practice mode to get familiar with their skills. Not for me. I used to go solo with techies whenever possible and I ALWAYS dominated the line, sometimes even against a threeline. Techies while having garbage dmg has an absurd distance which means that you can piss the enemy off without getting in harms way, and before they fucked up his suicide you could get 300 free gold by just just pressing a button whenever the enemy got too cocky.

Now all I have are a shittier version of both red mines and the suicide.

I get that but I used techies to be the one person that the enemy team has to constantly try to counter out of the game or either they'll be stuck in a hour and a half minefield game with them stuck until my team got enough farm to make a comeback because they quite literally couldn't penetrate tier 3.
Now I'm obligated to actually play techies with the rest of my team to actually do stuff, and cannot consistantly rely on myself to dominate the entire enemy team.

Also stasis mines was god er before for protecting highground, you stacj a bunch of them and I can guarantee that they will have to deal with at least 20 seconds of stun.

Lotus Orb is a must in that case, it covers the Silver Edge and is a good item all around for him. Worst scenario would be getting silver edged and stunned immediately right after, but I can't think of any hero that rushes SE and has a stun, so Lotus Orb should be online by then, and if it was a teamfight his team should be making good use of that time so that's cool too.

Only real con I find in BB is how he has a really tough time coming back after a bad laning phase because he needs survival items, but that's about it from my 4K scrub perspective.

Right now i play both games and i can asure you that playing support in LoL is a chore, not because you're playing support, but because it is "required" to be the bitch of your ADC, you cant last hit, you cant take kills, your only goal is to do CC, heals and maybe harash the enemy, meanwhile in Dota you're just as important as your carry, because if you dont farm or get kills, you're gonna be dead in the water. Granted, sometimes when you play agressive support like Thresh or Sona is nice but its nothing like playing Witch Doctor or Enigma. Dota is more fun in that aspect aswell.

Just because you heal for 80 + %swing per hero hit with decay, doesn't mean you can't lose lane if they pressure too hard.

That said, he is amazing if you can position without dying, because he has 400 starting mana. You basically can cast 6 decays before running out, at level 1.
So that + a lane partner + enemy trilane + a stick, means you SHOULD ALWAYS WIN the lane, unless they never stand near each other

don't be ashamed, that's the correct way of learning. just keep at it.

play aggressively. just go for kills constantly, even if it seems stupid at times. you will probably not win that many games for a while, but you will build a foundation of game sense and knowledge of when initiating is a good idea and when it's a bad idea. any mistake you make is a lesson learnt for later.

do enough of that, and you'll eventually realize that clockwerk is a crazy killing machine from level 1 onward. he's probably one of the most dangerous heroes on lvl 3, even in a suicide lane situation. if you can get a support in your cogs early on, it's almost certainly a kill. remember to flame the enemy team for feeding and use your taunt, it tilts your enemy and leads them into playing more stupid (allowing you to kill them even more)

there's nothing more shameful than a passive clockwerk player. i know a guy whos been playing clockwerk longer than me, and he's still 3k because he plays like a pussy and doesn't experiment.

Use your cogs to burn the safelane carrys mana. You're especially strong against str heroes.

Let me explain this shot to you 2k scrubs
Lc can jungle well, she can get blink around 10 min and lvl 6 which makes her able to initiate early on, however her overwhelming odds offlane build lets u shut down most hard carries and allows u to also farm assuming u have help and facing opposition. Jungling of is fine, but situational. In most cases you'd he better off offlaning.
