Esports is literally the worst thing. If people want to play your game competitively that's one thing but going out of your way to make it some super professional thing hoping to attract big tournaments is a recipe for disaster. Especially when it means you're going to enforce one type of metagame super hard and only balance around one specific way to play.

Why the heck would anyone want to watch a person play Evolve? It's literally 2 groups of people running in circles for 12 minutes. Or why would anyone care about professional heroes of the storm? The game is fun and easy enough that I see pro players and I'm wasting my time because I could be the one doing that. Literally the only difference is that they're all speaking to each other so of course you're going to instant-kill anyone who moves out of position.

i played alot of aos type maps in wc3 but i never got warm with lol dota or hots, im actually mainly playing overwatch.

Im probably one of those cancerous faggots that bank every event to buy lootboxes, but blizzard just delivers and the game is alot of fun, especially if you play it with friends.

i wanted this game from blizzard ever since i was a kid fucking around in mad editor and creating wacky heroes and units like siege engines that could shoot accross the map

blizzard delivered a game with characters and constant content that takes me back to warcraft 3 hero arena maps that were fuck as fuck like bleach vs naruto, the spells are fun and sometimes ridiculous like infinite range spells you can shoot across the map, the new maps that they keep posting keep it fresh, the balancing is insanely good and active and they made all the shit heroes viable -see stitches, gazlowe who I was loving even when they were shit to be honest-

let them advertise to kids on twitch let them promote their game, why not? its a great game that revived a stale genre I was sick of

oh and since I liked the game and played since launch and even payed for some skins I was rewarded with hots 2.0 with basically all the content in the game because of all the loot shit I got

You will find that an average game of dota2 is sometimes an hour or more.

In hots you can play 3-4 games it takes to play 1 in dota.

I have a friend considerin to play hots instead because of this. When He Got The Free 20 heroes He Is Playing Hots More now.

He also likes the community better than dota.

Shorter games is one thing that drew me into HotS as well. I played LoL for so long that I was used to close to hour long matches. Now when I'm playing HotS, 20+ minutes feels like a long ass match.

Game times are one of the biggest reasons I'm slowly moving from League to HoTS. Most games in HoTS end 20 min tops and I don't wanna kill myself after the game. The fact that it pretty much removes the entire laning phase which just isn't fun for me and focuses on team fighting makes it better.

It all just feels so much more relaxing
