The Unicorn Fountain is hidden below the ice at Zora Domain, you need to go there as a adult and exploit the out of the map glitch at the Water Temple entrance so you can get in the Zora Domain entrance even though there's a ice block blocking it

Once you'll enter the area you will be set below the ice but BE SURE to put your iron boots or otherwise you'll clip above the ice since you're not meant to be below it.

Once you achieved these steps go on the right where there's a kind of pillar, behind it there's gonna be an entrance. Just get it and voila!

I think the reason it came across as eerie is because of graphical limitations. The obscure textures, the muddy colors, the suggestion of a figure, and the semblance of something familiar pretty much left a lot to the imagination. I fucking loved it when I played it.

You guys hould read this. I'll post just one page, but it's from an interview with Zelda artists published on the Zelda Art and Artifacts artbook.

The same artists who did the artwork did the 3D models and the high-res Mario 64 models while still learning how to do it at the same time.

Incredible skilled artists.

A massive fanfic and art section, midis, even a chatroom, and a community run "book of mudora" that was an attempt at timeline and lore explanation long before the hyrule historia.
