Pokémon Snap is on here, but Not Pokémon Gen 2 (HG/SS especially) ??

The entire theme of the game is a nostalgic melancholy journey where you've grown up a little, but still return to go on a childlike adventure, where you can even revisit the locations of the adventure you first went on as a child.

It's got a comfy autumn color palette, a slower and more melodic soundtrack, slightly slower pacing with little-to-no grinding (unless you fuck up and haven't got a team constructed by Morty, then the level curve is going to make things steep for you)

Plus its mostly easy, being a RPG acessible for kids, so its perfect to pick up and play on rainy days.

If you're going to have a proper Pokémon game on the list, you gotta go for Gen 2

Catherine on harder difficulties is anything but comfy...

That being said, FFX is definitely comfy, especially Besaid Island, probably one of the most relaxing and underrated BGMs in games. Right up there with Sunshine's Deep Sea of Mare. I would add Puyo Puyo, Stardew Valley and Sim City on the SNES.

I wouldn't personally add it to a list like that, but I find Mushihimesama to be incredibly comfy. from the amazing soundtrack (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OEBusLEuuE) to the fantastical world filled with giant insect enemies. but I understand most people find shmups to be pretty stressful. for some reason they're nice and calming for me
