Koro was good naturally. Akihiko was fine. Ken is a child his voice was fine. Aigis was supposed to have an awkward voice as it was supposed to be changing as she became more human. Yukari had a fine voice. Not good or bad. I know that people hated Fuuka's voice but I thought it was fine. Her character more than made up for it imo.

I got through the first dungeon and can barely stand to keep going through it. The tutorial period takes hours. I don't like the slice of life anime that makes up so much of the game but it's non optional to get stronger. The dungeons themselves are boring randomly generated hallways. At least the fights are not random, but have a simple paper beats rock stratagems. It's simple enough that the game has an automatic combat mode for it that tells you how simple it is. The monster designs and lore are cool, but the main cast feels more like scooby doo and doesn't seem to take the murders seriously.

I was mostly thinking about the series overall. You fight a lot of objects or animals with a mask slapped on the in P4. A lot of the holdover monsters from older games are good. I had fun going through the megami tensei wiki recently and seeing how the lore combines Gnostic Christianity, European and Asian folklore, Lovecraft with Carl Jung's ideas. I am now under the impression that all these games even up to P5 are playing out the same meta story about to divine beings gambling on the nature of man.

Only reason I went back was cuz I wanted to try and give the game more of a fair shake, so I did a max S-link run to see more of the character shit.
