You could argue that he was a douchebag for the entire game and only cared about Isabella because he was sympathetic to her life.
There's nothing that suggests he wanted "the scoop" for a noble cause, he may well have just wanted fame and fortune.

I love that about his character, he isn't inherently likable unless you make him likable by saving Survivors and stuff like that.

Dead Rising 1 remake with 3's controls when? I love the first game but the controls haven't aged very well, they're pretty awkward. 3 had good controls, movement felt a lot better.
