magic moves tend to have fewer hits but hit harder, so I guess it makes it easier to get through its high defense.

But if buffed/debuff with a good weapon, that doesn't matter as much.

And yeah, EXE is the whole point of Mega Drive's boost (3x damage for the next attack). I recall building up the hit count with Uzume too, and used her Next Active thing to get an extra turn for a character before activating Fever.
