Yeah, I know. My problem is responding to incoming air attacks. I know I can punish it but my brain turns to mush and I panic and get hit or I react too late. I keep on doing the same thing with Chun as well. Well when all the fighters on the market is shit, of course the only fighter that stays true to it's core is going to get hyped as fuck. You have a lot of buttmad SF players right now looking to find a fighting game that scratches the itch Capcom left behind. They overhype it so they can believe it themselves and buy it and play it.
I hope Tekken 7 does end up becoming successful and dethroning Capcom, maybe Capcom will learn from this experience.

Average rank Tekken player here. First of all anon, its a fucking video game, so thry can ALL be classed as a waste of money when you think about it. As long as an anon is having fun who cares? Seriously, fighting games might be a good competitive outlet, but to suggest it can only be used as such is a bit grim. Maybe some anons just really like martial art games? I still fire up Capcom vs SNK2 on my PS2 for fun, it NEVER had online conectivity.

I just think its unfair that fighting games seems to be the one genre now where people seem to think its online or bust. Like, they can understand why some one might say, enjoy firing guns in first person enough to just bum around in single player, but not martial art games.

What do you mean? I just feel that anons see a particular kind of game unfairly and also seem to forget about fighting games before 2006, when online multiplayer was not common. Of course im not saying "reeeeeee stop playing online" but some anons advocate each new version ought to be stripped down to an online lobby and thats that. Some even litirally ask "give us the base game and make all other characters and stages purchasable"
