Not really false advertising, just extremely shallow. That Zelda experience was running on Wii U software, but it was a single rendered room, playing, and the characters played on a pre-programmed loop. All you could do was move the camera and change the lighting. It is sort of how the puzzle piece collection on 3DS makes things look REALLY good.

One is a scene from twilight princess with upgraded models, textures, and effects meant just to be a rendered-in-real-time but pre-baked tech demo and the other is arguably one of the best games ever made. It's a good thing we didn't get that art style. Too generic.
Plus it was running on non-final Wii U hardware that is rumored to have been 2x-4x more powerful than the downgraded retail hardware (it either had 352 shaders or 704 shaders, the latter would have put it within Xbone range so doubtful; the final hardware apparently had 4x the RGPs or registers even though there is no reason or even a benefit for this other than being a remnant from possibly having 4x the shaders which were mostly removed from the final design sans their "cache")
