I'm still angry about Tropico 5.
I just want to make a comfy Spanish colony but the game wont let me, and the ancestor/family system was such a great idea with the shittiest most botched execution ever.

It ruins the environment and leaves your society dependent on the perceptions of fat slobs. Egypt's tourist economy was ruined by ousting of Mubarak and islamic terrorism while places like Spain and Greece are running out of water as tourists waste tons of it.

The first hours of Tropico 4 are perfect, but once your city becomes huge then the game turns into shit because the retarded AI will ALWAYS create huge traffic jams and you will start losing production and money.

It doesn't matter what layout of the roads you create, the AI will always create traffic jams

I felt that it took a lot stronger economy to start up and wasn't as profitable because it didn't contribute as much as building infrastructure for your island.
Getting a plantation for sugar, and a rum factory costs the same as a few hotels, but then you also need to build attractions for tourists, which just ramps up costs: and how are you going to get the funds to do that if you don't have a well-running economy?
