The Browning Hi Power is not a massively powerful pistol, but compared to the pistols of its day it could be called as such.

GTAO is crazy fun when doing heists/grinding with friends. The only problem is when they expect you to do pvp, because there isn't even the beginning of an inkling of balance. Every battle is a sniper battle from maximum render distance, or an explosion spam fest. Any vehicle is a death sentence from homing rockets, except tanks which are an easy way to farm some kills before someone decides to spend the $500 to kill you.

You die and you respawn a few meters away with invincibility, which allows you to kill your killer while they can't do shit, but only if you're lucky with the respawns. However helling them also accomplishes nothing because then THEY respawn a meter away and kill YOU before you're allowed to damage them.

FFA snadbox pvp just never works.

I could understand if it was just for Heists because they need to be set up just "so" but goddamn you can't do anything in GTAO without waiting. That's what made RDR's online so fluid was the fact that you could start a gang hideout, or you could leave it midway through just buy riding away, then you could join a mission lobby and run around punching everybody or join a shootout lobby and do the same thing. The lobbies always went by very quickly.

This is true. The game discourages fun random iterations with other players. You can't have car chases because you just get sticky bombed. You can't get near people in a helicopter or plane because of the easy access to homing rockets. Then there are the expensive military vehicles that can only be countered by using the same thing. I can see the appeal of owning a harrier, but the game would honestly be more fun if they scaled back on explosive weapons or at least found a reasonable way to limit them. The only good that comes from this is pestering people with the stunt plane and making them waste their missiles.

Luckily some people do play for fun rather than optimized winning. I have fun when I can occasionally give unplanned help to other people who don't try to kill me when I get near them.

The weirdest part to me is that a recent update added vehicles you're expected to protect in the sandbox mode. You're expecting to protect a NPC truck who wants to drive all the way across the map from an entire room of players that are incentivized to kill it.

Please explain how that is even slightly possible when everyone and their dog has infinite tanks, infinite harriers with explosive ammunition and homing rockets, infinite homing rockets (which can be fired from great distances LOOONG before you can see the gunner), and piles of grenades and sticky bombs they can spam from cover. There is no end to the ways they can kill the vehicles before you are even aware they exist, and even if you do see them and kill them, they respawn three meters away and still have a arsenal of explosives in their pocket.

I don't blame R*. They're a business, it's what they do. The only thing I'd complain about is the quality. They could easily make these cheap to produce dlcs while also working on more major stuff, plus stuff for singleplayer.
