Rework your DLC plans and have planned Season Pass characters be in the vanilla game, delay the game and/or the season pass if you have to. Also Dante issue were not the weapons but his playstyle which it took skill to use, not the weapons and that didn't stop him of being of the best characters in the game. Just look at Frank or Chris, they also use tons of weapons of their games just fine and very differently from Dante, no need of Hunter having a similar one.

Also not having a canon design is fine, nobody wants one because is a character that you're supposed to self-insert, he's going to probably feature differents or even a female version as alts.

Remember that unlike UMvC3 this game is going back to a six-button playstyle, he has a lot of room for moveset, no need to give him a ton of weapons and lack traps or something like that, the light weapons can be in one button while the heavier one in another, while having traps with special imputs, not a hard job like you're making out to be.

He has enough room for his weapons, the fact that you say that Dante was struggling with his playstyle is also wrong, it was not about showing his weapons enough but the way he represents very well the stylish combos of his games, he also did have his devil trigger which is also a core mechanic of his games with pretty much his other abilities too.

Firebrand 's playstyle is basically a wolverine, with winds and Fire, since Wolverine isn't going to be in this one is a smart move to keep him.

Also the story of the infinity stones is very reminiscing of the Demoncrest, which fits very well with Firebrand in this game maybe even throwing some references to that game as well in his moveset.

And if recall correctly, appearently Capcom Vancouver is making a nig GnG reboot, they probably want to keep both of then to garther more interest for that game.

Yes I'm sure this fighting game with a much higher budget involving IPs worth way more money will actually have as interesting a story as a long RPG and not be dull as dishwater. It's going to be 2 hours where Ultron/Sigma team up, worlds collide, heroes on both sides fighting each other in the initial confusion before teaming up to fight the big bad with some comedic relief from Rocket/Groot/Spidey and X/Arthur/Frank sprinkled throughout. The character interactions will be safe and predictable as possible and if we get anything interesting it'll be from the arcade endings since those can be as goofy as they want.

He also leaked little details about the game that are pretty much a thing at this point, He said that Rocket and Groot as a duo would be a thing at it happened or that Jedah happening before the leaks came out, he also said that Spencer is staying in the game before some insiders confirmed it too and also the fact that the xmen and f4 wouldn't be part of the main roster.

It still looks bright and colorful. The real problem is, despite this, it still looks graphically unimpressive, with character models that are kinda ugly and less detailed, if not outright being recycled from UMvC3. And despite it still looking colorful, the art direction is kind of uninspired and the color palette is all over the place instead of looking cohesive, so it looks kinda like a gaudy eyesore and like a cheap mobile game as well. It looks slightly janky as well.
