I want an analysis that tries to be as objective as possible mixed with a little of one's own personal thoughts about their experience with the game.

You can say the game is good to you, but you can't say it's better than Overwatch without doing a thourough analysis of it.

For instance, one should compare the shooting mechanics, the character variations, strategy, weapons, innovation, map interaction, different modes, soundtrack, visual, presentation etc etc if one's objective is to compare both games.

In my personal and subjective opinion Overwatch shits on Splatoon, but I'm not making any claims here that it's better based on my own personal feelings.

Splatoon is more competitive since the stages are designed better, you contribute to your win more individually, you cannot switch weapons mid match so coordination is key, movement is directly tied to your map control so matches can slowball, players have the same health, death = loss of alt (can be offset to an extent with gear), ults are not "press Q to win" game changers and have counters from all guns instead of some.

I disagree there. Overwatch's maps are 85% empty space for non-payload segments. Said non-payload maps always come down to one floodgate of ults winning you the game, where as even the Kraken in Splatoon doesn't hand you the win. I think they are both competitive games, but Splatoon has a greater emphasis on individual play and skill that can't be circumvented with switching weapons. Overwatch's distinct hero roles demand that player skill be focused on coordination whereas Splatoon having only offensive roles demands more mechanical skill. Different strokes for different folks.

It's easy to claim you could make an objective argument for which game has superior mechanics, but the whole thing about taste is that just because one game may appear to contain better or more content won't invalidate the game it's being compared to. To use your example, let's presume that we found out that Splatoon's maps objectively allow higher ranked players to win more consistently. That would suggest Splatoon is an objectively more balanced game, but what do you about someone who just enjoys the payload game mode from Overwatch? Splatoon doesn't include an equivalent feature, so would you still recommend Splatoon over Overwatch to them?

That would imply that you played Overwatch to the point where you have at least a solid understanding of Mechanics, Balance, Metagame and so on, which in turn means you played it more than 5 hours.

In my subjective opinion, you must have brain damage to play an atrocious game like that for so long. All I've ever played was the Splatoon 2 testfire, and I had more fun with it than I ever did with Overwatch.
