Definitely a less generic need for speed in the franchise as a whole. The story does seem a bit borrowed and they never seem to leave the US in every single new game since the PS2. But I do think people prefer the premise of starting small as nobody and build a character rather than what is shown in the trailer, which looks to put you in some fast vehicles quite often as you see car delivery taking place. Maybe if it's like undercover where the vehicles that are stolen are like low class dealership and actually feels like a way of progression than hooning a multi million dollar car after you shake a few hands of people you just met.

NFS 2015 was gold material except for the atrocious driving physics, smoll map and rushed release, effectively pulling the game down to shitlevel. While they fixed all the stupid shit from the launch, they just couldn't fix the driving physics or just basic lack of content.

This is purely speculation but I think BMW had a super strict contract. You can put our 2 cars in the game but you can't customize them. M3 GTR behind the hero car that you can't do shit with but comes pre-dressed up, and the Street Version that is not pre-tuned and so that's why it makes no sense to put it in career mode.

Carbon PSP is actually my bed time game on my Vita. It actually seems surprisingly decent since I've been wanting a not completely shit PSP NFS game for a long time and I passed on Carbon for some reason.
