I have absolutely everything, mostly x9. I just enjoy crushing the levels in the most optimal pattern possible and helping new players get gear. I love the community interaction through the little voice lines too. But I am massively autistic

As for pro level tips, not much, just efficiency. If you want to grind stuff, just get good and Beserker mail always.

If you need to grind chapter 10, learn the wallride glitch to instantly go to Dracula and use Muramasa+1 On him. (It nets a slightly higher dps than Claim Solaihs +1). Ukoback soul is also a big dps increase in the fight. Pop it on his head as he teleports in and you'll get 200+ damage for free as he stands there. To dodge anything phase 1 does just do a tiny hop directly in front of him. For phase 2 just use final guard.

For max dps per teleport in phase 1, pre cast ukoback then jump attack, attack, backdash attack, QCF attack, jump to dodge the fireballs and repeat. That's six Murumasa+1 hits and 8 ukoback soul ticks - with berserker mail he goes down fast. Ukoback does its full duration on him as it spams missiles in phase 2 as well so is invaluable

Not much to say about Chapter 9. Climbing the outside is always fastest - then just do the lower lever, then drop down the fire chimney thing. If you drop below the first fire, double jump, you can time it so you get hit by neither flame and land outside the boss. Soma/Alucard obviously just go top right of boss and valmanway spam, With Shanon, map Acerbatus to forward action and jump toward the boss whilst grabbing the top right magnes. Now you can spam acdrbatus just by pressing action, and use the directional stick to fly around and dodge flies. For Yoko Maria or a Whip user, bind your best multi hitting spell to all 4 buttons, stand at his feet and spam like mad. When he summons flies run to the lower right platform and drop/jump up appropriately.

Chapter 7 drops the Miser Rings and Robe Decollete which are both BiS but takes waaaaay longer to grind without a partner due to needing to go to the very bottom to flick the lift lever and so on. Strongly recommend playing with a friend or if on PS3, using a second controller to player 2 and clear the right side of the map and use the lever. For Astarte, blunt damage destroys her, so Kaiser Knuckle, Lapiste, etc are a must. Her attacks are super telegraphed but I see people have trouble with the charm. Either have someone outside hold the door open (like a bitch) or wait until she starts to summon the hearts, then dive kick off her head which is a safe zone.

For chapter 11, again it is far quicker if you have a competent duo. Decapiclops (bottom right) is the hardest by far so kill him first, then Ox (right side) then the top left one. If you have a friend, you go Rush decapiclops then just start running towards the boss. Your friend takes care of Ox and Top left in time for you to drop into the boss.

For the boss itself just stay close to its toes constantly to make it punch and drop its guard, and don't bother trying to challenge it when it's summoning bosses to shoot - it's just too much risk. Alucard is great because Soul Steal clears out all balls (balls can't be cleared if flashing, once they bounce once they stop flashing and can be cleared) otherwise clear balls when boss is guarding as top priority.

Gutting Valmanways base damage so it's an efficient trash mob clearer but poor against bosses
Removing or strongly nerfing Somas base STR to balance Minotaur and his mass utility
Strongly buffing magic damage for Charlotte/Maria/Yoko since it is tied to a resource -should do much more damage than weapons
Removing Beserker Mail from the game , because it completely invalidates any form of healing like Succubus Soul, Dark Metamorphasis, Charlotte Heal etc
Removing Ch10 skip glitch so you actually have to play the level

Honestly the game wasn't massively unbalanced across the board, it just had massive outliers at either end. Valmanway + Soma doing literally everything was OP and Casters having lower damage, dps and being tied to a resource was really UP

That's where the "more visceral part" comes in. Enemies need to get hurt and bloodied, they need to be very strong but weak to some objects/weak spots/strategies you can combine.
Though Vampire Hunter D is fucking OP. The plot would need to be SotN tier so at least enemies are a challenge.
