I picked up a Wii U so I can play Breath Of The Wild, but are there any other games worth while for this system? Not baiting but I really can't find anything besides the obvious
>Bayonetta 2
>Twilight Princess HD
>Wind Waker HD
>Tokyo Mirage Sessions (maybe)
Is this literally an overpriced Zelda machine or are there games I'm missing
>>
Xenoblade X, it's a better open world game that botw.
>>
>>378847584
lol fuck off.
>>
>>378847460
Xenoblade X my amigo. A great open world experience. Story isn't all there but everything else is top-notch.
>>
>>378847460
DKC Tropical Freeze, Wonderful 101, Xenoblade X. And that's all.
>>
>>378847460

The Wonderful 101 is probably the best game I played on the Wii U.

The controls are the ultimate pleb filter though, as it will take you almost the entirety of your first playthrough to master. Once you do get gud though, the game becomes GOAT. So much fucking depth in that combo system, it's insane.
>>
Pikmin 3

also full backwards compatibility with the Wii (and Gamecube if you softmod it)
>>
>>378847460
Wonderful 101
Yoshi
Xenoblade X.
>>378847717
Hes right though

Anything from my list with two exceptions:
1. Starfox Zero in co-op only.
2. Smash is trash.
>>
>>378850758
>Smash is trash.
woah dude so edgy and contrarian!
>>
>>378850758
>Yakuza
Dual-audio?
Also no offense, but 50% of your list is trash.
>>
Any Wii U owner who hasn't played Wonderful 101 has wasted his time with this console

Nope. Out of curiosity I installed japanese game.

>>378852223
I don't care, both games are superfun.
>>
>>378850758
Am I the only guy that genuinely enjoys StarFox Zero's weird-ass control scheme? Having two views going on at once and having to coordinate between them really draws me into the fights for some reason.
>>
>>378847584
This. Zelda is a generic open world action game like MGSV. Xenoblade X is the only mech game in existance that you can fly in an open world.
>>
>>378852428
I can't wait until YOU DIE! FUCK YOU!
>>
>>378852975
It's still frustrating.
>>
>>378847460
I really got a lot of enjoyment out of Hyrule Warriors, but it's not an especially deep game, so if you don't like Musous in concept I wouldn't bother with it. There's also Mario Maker, Mario Kart, and Smash Bros., but the latter two are mostly only fun if you have other people to play with. I heard really good things about the Donkey Kong game, but I haven't gotten around to picking it up yet myself so I can't personally vouch for it.
>>
>>378848789
How do you play GCN games with digital triggers?
>>
>>378847460
The Wonderful 101.

I mostly used mine as a Zelda machine though. I'm also finally using my WiiU to play Skyward Sword. Maybe it's because I walked in with rock bottom expectations, but I've been enjoying it so far. Just cleared Nayru's Silent Realm. Is the second half of the game dogshit or something, because I don't see why everyone thinks it's so awful. The motion controls took some getting used to but they're incredibly responsive, at least for me. I scarcely ever use dowsing, and I was prepared for a linear experience from the outset.

Xenoblade X and The Wonderful 101 are by far my favorites games on the system, not counting BotW which I played on Switch.

You should also consider DKC Tropical Freeze, Mario Kart 8 and Smash. They're all great.

Xenoblade X is a boring ass singleplayer MMO style game

Affordable Space Adventures is great if you can couch coop with two other people.
>>
>>378855656
>singleplayer MMO
It's a real time action RPG with online multiplayer elements.

The WiiU has an insanely good library. It blew out my gaming PC, 3DS, and Vita for playtime during its active years. Though its slowing down to just couch multiplayer games now. (I bring this thing to my friends houses constantly because they dont own it and want some Smash4, MK8, messing with another game now and then but mostly those two.
>>
>>378854406
I imagine there's a way to use the gamecube adapter and BC controllre. But if now you're still just losing out on Sunshine and Luigis Mansion, not much else really.
>>
>>378847460
If you like Bayo 2, you'll like also Bayo 1 and Wonderful 101. For action games, there's also Ninja Gaiden 3 but it's pretty shitty, just pick it if you really need more action. If you are into Batman, Arkham City is an ok port, not a looker but it works.
There's Xenoblade X too along TMS for your RPG tastes. The port of Deus Ex HR is pretty solid too.
Zombi U is also one of the Wii U must haves, the multiplat versions lost all their sense without the gamepad.
Despite being an EA game, Need for Speed U is incredibly good. There's also Mario Kart 8 (which still have an active online community) and Sonic Racing Transformed if you like racing games.
Monster Hunter Tri on Wii U is the best version around. From Capcom there's also RE Revelation, which is a solid game also on Wii U.
I know what they say about party games but Nintendoland is literally the definion of underrated game. It's very good, especially in multiplayer. And it includes the best Metroid game since Prime 3.
Of course, the Wii U library includes a lot of platformers. NSMBU (the best in the series along with the Luigi expansion), 3D World, DK Tropical Freese, Rayman Legends, SonicShovel Knight (yeah, it's a retail game).
Then you have Splatoon which is very good. And many eShop only games (like Affordable space Adventures, highly recommended) or all the Virtual console catalog (Earthbound is always worth it).

I could go on suggesting other games but they are mostly games people would shit on without giving a chance because memes (think about all Lego games, Scribblenauts and, yes, Star Fox Zero).
>>
>>378856627
>Tekken Tag Tournament WiiU Edition
Damn, I forgot aout that one too. There isn't a single store in my whole country with that game anymore. I can only find it online for embarassing prices.
>>
>>378854406
Nintendont supports the gamecube adapter.
>>
>>378854406
you can use a GC controller via an adapter, and iirc the first Wii Classic Controller model actually had analog triggers
Classic Controller Pro works fine for games that don't make use of analog trigger functionality though
>>
>>378848789
>Pikmin 3
Here's another great game I forgot to mention, fucking hell. So much for no games.
