Yeah, the game was undoubtedly a megabomb. In my view, the Prey name was a huge mistake, because any promotion inevitably turned into Prey 2 discussion. It made it very hard for the game to stand on its own merits.

I didn't like it. I thought it was an fps til I played it and realised it was a lame stealth game then a lame 'use evasive powers to speed past enemies' games, wrapped in constant backtracking and fetch quests. I'm not sure which bit of the game was supposed to be fun because I was bored from start to finish.

We had like 25 trailers, it was heavily marketed.
But it was done badly by Bethesda, they should have made it clear at the start that it was going to be an Immersive Sim.
