I'm enjoying it, created a bunch of custom races to appear in my games. Stereotypical Nazi races, science goons, weak humans who have diplomacy bonuses.

First few games make more sense when you recognise a couple of variables

It's buggy and incomplete. Wait a few years for all the DLC to release and some community mods.

i have mixed feeling concept is pretty cool but gameplay is all about microing same dull shit over and over again (sent scout ships to discover planets and engineers to create posts and mining structures) i wish i could skip that boring part with scout ships and i'd be only forced to build stuff by myself.

nope, most space 4x games are 'spam shit on enemy every turn till one of you gets bored'. Every game does that: stellaris, gal civ, sots, endless space is the worst case. Soase tried to get away from this and somewhat succeeded, but still, that sonly one example and you can still spam shit there too.
