I question this because I've actually played Nier and I genuinely cannot remember a single boss fight from the game. If they really were 10/10 I'd probably remember at least one of them.

Yep, completely forgot that boss fight. It doesn't even bring back memories.

But I do vaguely remember fighting a giant ball along some cliffs or something. Is that actually in the game or have I imagined it?

Wendy is in the game. But if you forgot about all the bosses in NieR, I honestly have no idea how you could even remember playing it. Bosses were literally the best part of the game.

I don't really remember anything but little snippets.

I remember a giant ball. I remember I absolutely hated Kaine and was really pissed when she came back to life. I remember thinking the wedding day death was a pretty pathetic attempt at depressing me. I remember the whole town faking letters for the old woman was sweet if also a little transparent. I remember a boy turns into a scarecrow for some reason and I think he blows himself up or something. I remember fighting the same enemies in the same green fields over and over again. I remember some bullet hell stuff. That's about it.
