How would you write Shadow's personality to get the fans to like him again? I think I'd do something like:

>Gets picked on for being too serious by Rouge
>Jokes around with Team Dark while they fight baddies
>Shows deep respect for Sonic and co.
>Acts kind towards the innocent, but ruthless towards his enemies

The Shadow you play as is always the real one, regardless of which game, and outside of a certain multiplayer mode.

Eggman has numerous Shadow Androids which I don't believe have appeared as enemies outside of Shadow the Hedgehog.

I didn't mind heroes in terms of tone. Personally though, I think Black Knight has the perfect tone for the series. 06, Shadow the Hedgehog, Colors and Generations are all too far to the extremes to be any good.

Sa2 shadow could have been a clone hinted in the Japanese walkthrough, but we'll call him shadow 1. Heroes shadow is different from sa2 and sth shadow he could be the real shadow but most likely a clone of shadow 1, heroes was game first story second so this throws it off. I always assumed that in the cutscene in OPs image the shadow you've been playing up to that point was destroyed and now you're playing as a new shadow that's how he knew about super Sonic.

Shadow the hedgehog has branching story lines but the ending is that the shadow you play as is shadow 1, amnesia could not be related at all to the ending of sa2.

There's either only been the same shadow throughout it all or heroes had a different shadow
